The jump from 700 is the one you can see
Going from 700 to 1200 reeds is the upgrade that changes how a rug looks from standing height. The vines thin out, the florals separate instead of merging, and the medallion gains the small internal detail that makes a Persian rug reward a second look. Going from 1200 to 1500 is a subtler step, which is exactly why this grade sits where it does: it is the most detail per dollar we sell.
It is also our deepest range by a distance, and the most versatile in colour. The 1200 stock runs through silver and stone greys, charcoal, pewter, antique gold on cream, and a handful of navy and teal pieces. If you are matching a rug to grey floors or a neutral sofa — which in Melbourne is most people — this is where you will find it.

1200 reeds, questions we get asked
Because it is where the visible gain per dollar peaks. The step up from 700 is obvious from standing height, while the step from 1200 to 1500 is one you notice kneeling down. Most people, once they have seen all three side by side, decide 1200 is the honest place to stop.
For a main living room, we think so, and we will show you both together rather than argue it. For a busy family room or a bedroom, a 700 is genuinely the smarter buy. The right answer depends on the room, not on the bigger number.
