Dandy Rugs & Furniture is a family rug business at 2 Cleeland St, Dandenong VIC 3175. This policy explains, in plain language, how we look after any personal information you share with us. We handle it in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
We only ask for what we need to help you. When you get in touch — through the enquiry form on this site, WhatsApp, phone, email, or a message on Instagram — we may collect your name, a phone number or email, your suburb or state, and details about the rug or room you’re asking about. You don’t need an account to use this website, and we never ask for card or bank details online.
How the enquiry form works
The enquiry form on this website doesn’t save your details to a server. When you complete it, it opens WhatsApp with your message ready to go, and you choose whether to send it to us. Anything you send by WhatsApp, Instagram, phone or email is carried by those services under their own privacy terms.
How we use it
To reply to your enquiry and give honest advice on size, quality and price; to arrange a viewing, quote or delivery; and to stay in touch about a rug you’re interested in. That’s it — no spam, and no selling your details.
Who we share it with
We never sell or rent your information. We only pass on what’s needed to get a rug to you — for example, sharing your name, address and phone number with the courier handling your delivery. Our website is hosted by a third-party provider, and we may use basic, privacy-respecting analytics to see how many people visit the site.
Cookies
This site doesn’t use tracking or advertising cookies. Any analytics we use are cookieless and simply count visits anonymously — nothing that identifies you. You can block cookies in your browser at any time and the site will still work.
Keeping and removing your information
We keep enquiry details only for as long as we need them to help you or to meet our record-keeping obligations, then remove them. You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you at any time.
